Every once in awhile, we buy a coin that looks like an artist painted on the toning. The piece offered here is a colorful beauty. Its bold luster accentuates the vivid shades of turquoise and purple.

The strike is sharp and there are only a few trivial contact marks (well hidden) visible on either side. Two identifying diagnostics on the reverse are the series of die cracks extending up from the lower right rim, and the left-spaced mintmark set low in the field area, with the right “C” slightly higher.
