Mintage: 7,700,000

This piece was obviously plucked out of circulation within months of being released. It has about 60% of its original luster remaining and plenty of detail remains on the high points (the top loop on first “S” in STATES is shattered). A light grayish-tan haze veils the obverse and is visible only on the raised devices on the reverse.
