Around the store, No Arrows Carson City coins are definitely favorites, and rightly so. This “Top 25” beauty is no exception. At XF-40, a large amount of detail is present on the obverse, mostly in the folds of MS. Liberty’s gown and in the ridge formations on the shield. The high points are somewhat flattened due to wear, but no more than would be expected for the grade. On the reverse, the eagle seems to be set off by dark green toning, which surrounds the words HALF DOL. There’s some grime hiding in the denticles and eagle feathers as well. Both sides have moderate amounts of ticks and contact marks, but none that detract from this coin’s overall appeal.
