The letters in LIBERTY on the obverse shield stand out boldly. In fact, all of the details on this piece are exceptionally sharp for the grade. Appearing as if it were plucked out of circulation yesterday, this totally original coin lays claim to a higher grade.
The surfaces on both sides are a moderate shade of gray, with an amber undertone. The obverse devices and fields are velvety smooth and are free of any distractions. The reverse, while slightly sharper in detail and just as original as the obverse, displays eight small specks of carbon toning.

Overall, a very impressive specimen of this key date in the “CC” half dollar series.
