As with any 6-point rated coin, you’ll find that this Carson Mint example of a key date half is heavily worn on both sides. The appearance, however, is refreshingly original. The obverse displays just the faintest coppery-colored toning near the periphery to the left of Ms. Liberty. On the reverse, the same rust-color is apparent, along with a darker spot of toning in the TA of STATES. Even with the heavy signs of circulation, this piece offers much to any collector looking to round out his circulated Carson City half dollar set.
