This Circulated example of a key date in the Carson City half dollar series shows any collector that even if the coin has been handled in the past, it can still have many positive attributes. The obverse of this coin shows some flattening on all the high points, but the detail remaining is remarkable, especially for the grade. There's still definition left in Ms. Liberty’s face, and a mix of dust and brownish-blue toning accents the many folds in her gown. The reverse is stunning, with its vibrant sapphire patina radiating through the Circulated surfaces on the left-hand side of the eagle. Contact marks are sporadic on both sides, but nothing more than you would expect on a VF-30.
