Mintage: 4,944,000

This piece has more of an “AU” look than an XF-45 look. The surfaces are practically all-white and there’s plenty of luster remaining. It’s obvious the coin was dipped at one time, but it was not a destructive cleaning, otherwise PCGS would not have assigned a grade. 

A number of small contact marks are visible, mostly on the obverse, and there are scattered hairlines in the fields. Clash marks are visible above the eagle’s left shoulder and to the right of its right leg. A thin die scratch is located in the lower right section of the reverse’s heraldic shield.
