This piece is boldly-struck on the obverse, but has the typical weakly-struck upper left eagle’s shoulder on the reverse. Most of the wear is visible on Ms. Liberty and the eagle. The coin is a light, steel-maroon-grey color, with luster peeking-through the haze on the reverse, setting off the detail. When held under light, very pale shades of pink, plum, and turquoise are visible in the fields on both sides. A small, dark speck is visible on the obverse near Ms. Liberty’s left hand. Contact marks are visible on both sides in the fields. Overall, this is a higher-grade specimen of this common-date Carson City twenty-cent piece, that will surely satisfy any “CC” enthusiast.
