This is a borderline XF example of this key date “S” Mint Indian cent. The original surfaces display a coffee-with-light-cream color. All details are exceptionally bold for a VF-35 coin, with every letter in LIBERTY in the headband clearly visible. Only a handful of scattered contact marks, several on the obverse and two on the reverse, should be noted.

Evidence that this desirable piece has never been doctored is the build up of dust creviced in the letters in ONE CENT on the reverse. To add to this coin’s appeal is the small trace of luster that beams through in certain spots.
