This Type II Buffalo nickel has radiant, steel-grey coloring. All of the high points are crisp and clear, with no traces of wear—from the date, 1913, on the obverse, to the buffalo’s horn on the reverse. The fields are like smooth, molten-steel, and the portraits on both sides are near-perfect.
