This piece has much to offer. Both sides are covered in a beige patina, which intensifies the sweeping luster underneath. On the obverse, the field above Ms. Liberty’s right arm is scattered with specks of darker-brown toning, the largest of which rests between the B in LIBERTY and the back of Ms. Liberty’s head. There’s one small tick in the right field near the tail of the Y, as well. The reverse presents virtually smooth fields, with the eagle’s tail and wing feathers fully defined. There’s some grime between the letters of QUARTER DOLLAR, but nothing that would detract from this coin’s overall eye appeal. Definitely a winner.
