The most noticeable thing about this Peace dollar is the rust-red toning brushed over both sides of this coin, giving the coin an “antique” appearance. The obverse has a few ticks and scratches over Ms. Liberty’s head—most noticeably, the one running from the back of her neck at the base to the bottom-center of her neck. The reverse also has several nicks and scratches: one of which runs along the width of the eagle’s right clawed foot and one that runs through UNITED. This key-date Peace dollar would be great for anyone interested in unique toning.
