Even though we are down to a staff of only 3—Rusty, Marie, and me, Maya—Rusty makes sure that there are still events to look forward to as each personal and professional milestone approaches. And, at the end of May, it was time once again for Rusty and me to celebrate our birthdays.
This year, we stayed “close to home” (meaning just across the street from our store location on South Virginia Street) and had a delicious dinner at Claim Jumper. We shared a feast with all of our favorites—salads, steaks, clam chowder, veggies, and even fried macaroni and cheese. We concluded the meal with delicious desserts, including a 5-layer white raspberry cake and a warm chocolate-chip-cookie-and-ice-cream dish. Just decadent!
Thanks so much for celebrating our birthdays once again, and I will look forward to next year’s festivities.
